Animal trust

by Jessie K on January 3, 2012

Jake has a reputation for pushing animals outside their comfort zones.  Or as he might call it, “tear them down to build them back up.”

Some might call this abuse.

We call it comedy.

I’m not surprised he’s inflicting these trust building exercises on poor Solha in Afghanistan.  Here, he makes her heel on some barrels.  You know, just ’cause.

As you can see, she is having a gay ole time.

Yep, the time of her life is being had by Solha.

Though the longer Jake makes her endure these uncomfortable, alien situations (sitting five feet off the ground), the more she gets used to it.

She accepts her fate and realizes, you know what? Sitting on a bunch of supplies high off the ground in a military depot in Afghanistan isn’t so bad.  I’ve got the sun on my face and an owner who theoretically won’t let anything bad happen to me.

This, according to that lordly husband of mine,  is how you build a dog’s confidence and deepen the relationship.

You gotta admit, that’s a proud dog right there.

Tomorrow she’s going to drive a Humvee.
