I’m a sucker for little girl shoes….almost more than mom shoes.
These are from Stride Rite, a gift from Marmie for June’s upcoming second birthday. I can hardly believe June is almost two! Boggles the mind!
I don’t mind spending a bit more for quality kids’ shoes since comfort is so important for little feet. And we’re lucky enough to receive boxes and boxes and boxes (seriously, it’s out of control) of quality hand-me-down clothing from older cousins and friends so I end up spending, well, nothing on clothes for my mini SJP. I can justify those mini Manolos. Okay, not quite. But here are some of my other favorite summer shoes for little gals:
My friend Paula first alerted me to the brand See Kai Run and I love them! They’re sweet, stylish and super well made. (Amity, $52, See Kai Run)
I’ve been a sucker for Vans since I was a youngster I think they look particularly great on little tykes, especially little girls. (Vans Kids, $30, Zappos.)
If there’s one brand that fits our country lifestyle best, it’s Keen. June can go from the Hen Hut to the kiddie pool to the garden to the kitchen in these babies. They’re tough and comfy and they last a long time. (Keen Kids Whisper, $35, Zappos)
And every girl needs a pair of glittery purple jellies, right? They might not last through the summer but they sure are cute. (Clear Gladiator Jelly Sandals, $3.99, The Children’s Place)
And these caught my eye because they’re orange with flowers on them. (Wee Squeak Girls Sandals, $29.95, The Baby Bungalow)
I wonder which pair to get for June’s birthday….okay, I’ll get all of them. Ha! I wish!

I love Keens for my 5-year-old – like you said, they’re perfect for country livin’! But, she does have more than her fair share of girly “pretty shoes”, just like her mama!
The only thing better than little girl shoes is, little girls IN the little girl shoes! I loved buying nice, European shoes for my daughter, too, the only necessary apparel purchase due to hand-me-downs.
I really enjoyed this post because I have a two year old grandaughter who lives in another state. Each month I send her a package with fun stuff and clothes and often include shoes because she loves them. I have lots of fun picking them out and learned a lot from your message.
I’ve tried to post twice and it didn’t post. If you’ve banned me, I’d like to know why.
Now that is weird! Sorry.
I love little girl shoes, too, but sadly only have little boys (boy) in my family. I do manage to find him some very cute Croc-like shoes here and there. For the last year he’s been wearing some alligator ones I got for him and their still his favorites. Have a lovely week!
Uh, that would be “they’re” his favorites, not “their” his favorites . . . blush . . . that’ll teach me not to be in a hurry!
Cienta shoes are my fave. They’re made in Spain, smell slightly of candy, and are cute, sturdy, and super comfy. They’re on sale on The Mini Social or Zulily all the time.
Cienta shoes. Thanks for suggestion, Crackers! Will buy mass quantities of them.
