Tomorrow Jake, June and I leave for a little vacation to my home state Montana. I’m excited because I feel like I never go on vacation anymore. To commemorate this joyful occasion, I invite you to envision my little family unit tomorrow hanging around the Salt Lake Airport, delicately tearing off morsels of our communal Cinnabun and staring longingly into each other’s eyes…or at the Cinnabun.
What I’m saying is, posting will probably be a little light for the next few days. This is only until I get settled and/or my mom’s Wi-fi actually works. It’s a roll of the dice every time I go out there, I swear.
And hey, in the off chance you’re going to be in Missoula, Montana, Thursday, August 16, I’m going to be giving a talk about my book Rurally Screwed at Fact & Fiction at 7 p.m. PUH-LEASE come down and say hi. Jake and June will be there!
Click for details here. Hope to see you. And look what San Francisco Book Review had to say about Rurally Screwed. Whoo hoo!

I’ll wave as I fly over the western part of the state on my way to Seattle on Thursday — from that teeny, tiny, terrifying turboprop.
And congrats on the SF Chron review! It’s a doozy!

Crazy! I just got back from a trip to Missoula to visit my college friend. I saw your book in the local bookstore there and they were already advertising for your signing! Good luck!

Missoula!!! I’m dreaming of a shopping spree at the Good Food store… So close yet so far from Idaho for this mama with a toddler that hates her car seat. Have a wonderful trip
