Gerald and his nearest and dearest rode home from the hospital in a limo. Go big or go home, right?
Even though he’s in a fair amount of pain and doesn’t have a lot of energy, Gerald is determined to ride his horse. Horses and horseback riding are probably his life’s greatest joy, apart from his family. Animals give him much peace and pleasure.
Makes you wonder what would you do if you found out you were living with an incurable disease. What changes would you make? What extravagances would you indulge in? Food you’d want to eat? Drinks you’d want to sip? Who would you want to spend your time with and what would you say to them? What joys would you want to experience?
We should strive to live like that every single day.
(Though I suppose the cost of renting a limo every day might be prohibitive.)

It is how we should spend every day! Personally, I would want to spend as much time with loved ones as possible! I hope I will be able to tell them (believers and non-believers) that I will be waiting for them in heaven. I want to see them there when the time comes because I love them and God loves us so much he provided the way for us to be with him and all our loved ones for eternity when he sent His Son to die for us. The good news is it is a gift, we cannot earn it, Christ did it all once and for all. He also gifts us with the faith we need to believe it. I pray that Gerald and his family and friends will be blessed in the difficult days he has left on this earth and God’s grace will be abundant to all of them. Isaiah 53:4-6, John 3:16-17
I’m sure hoping he’s able to get that ride in…..
I hope he gets that horse ride is also. He is soooo special. I told him on a recent visit that he was so rich, because of the many people that love him. Such a wonderful person.
As a life-long horse (and, generally) animal person, I am hoping he gets his last ride. I’m tearing up thinking about I and I don’t even know him!
