Calling all parents on Trick or Treat duty!
Here’s a great cocktail to sip while handing out candy to the kidsĀ or to sip from a thermos while strolling with other parents as the little ones run door-to-door. Naturally, it calls for fresh apple cider because I happen to have that coming out of my ears.
To make, combine 3/4 fresh apple cider, 1/3 cup bourbon and a splash of freshly squeezed lemon juice in a shaker loaded with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into two glasses (serves two). Or quadruple the recipe and strain into a thermos loaded with ice.
Have fun tonight, scary people.

Mmm, sounds good!
If you like that drink you should try the whiskey smash at the Woodberry Kitchen. Not far from Jake’s parents. I have spent a-little time adapting it.
Sounds tasty!
We got some peach cider from Saunder’s Orchard and I bet it would be a tasty substitute for the apple!
