June’s second Halloween

by Jessie K on November 1, 2012

Here’s what I learned about Trick-or-Treating with a two year old: Two is still pretty young to take to the streets in costume!

June had fun but she became very stimulated very quickly. Translation: We didn’t pound the pavement for long.

Allow me to decode this expression: “I has tireds. Need more chock-lit.”

And it was so cold!  I ended up having to modify her Danger Mouse costume quite a bit — just a hat, ears and cape.

The highlight of her Trick-or-Treating was bumping into one of her preschool buddies (dressed as Cookie Monster) and holding hands. Awwww!

Same holds for 4 year olds. Yesterday was cold and rainy. The children were so excited and couldn’t wait. By the time they arrived at my home (last) they were no longer in costume as they were drenched and were over stimulated.
