I’ve been a rabid Goodwill shopper since moving to Virginia and all I can say is, Macklemore‘s hit “Thrift Shop” makes me feel vindicated. It is my theme song.
Up with Grandma clothes! (Oh, a few curse words litter this video. Apologies! My favorite part is where he rocks out on the knee board.)

Ha! I loved that! I despise shopping of any kind, unless it’s at the local Goodwill, which always makes me feel like a kid in a candy shop. Full-price stores stick to current styles & trends, which never seem to be what I want, & it’s all ridiculously overpriced. If I go to Wally’s World, I’m petite enough I have to shop in the kids’ department & settle for SpongeBob shirts. Goodwill has EVERYTHING. And it’s dirt cheap to boot. Was it your grandma’s coat? Who cares. Good style is whatever makes you feel awesome.
Oh yes! We love this song! I first heard the cleaner version on the radio and accidentally downloaded the original for the kids and I to dance out to. Whoops.( Oh well.)
Our local Goodwills have half price Saturdays the first Sat of the month. I stock up on books when they are on sale because I work at the middle school library. We always need popular paperbacks, books on sports, etc. Budgets only go so far. I am on my 2nd antibiotic for an ear infection and missed the sale for Feb. I hate to miss the sale even though it is jam packed in the stores when it happens.
love this!
I find the older I get, the more I like rap. That’s allowed, right? It’s not soley a pathetic grasping at youth, is it? HA!
