My husband routinely falls asleep on the hardwood floor, his head resting on the dogbed with either Cowboy or Sunnie. I used to try to rouse him, I almost felt bad because I thought he'd wake up feeling achy from slumbering on the floor, but now I don't bother. He seems to enjoy the dog bed naps, and it allows me to read later into the night without worrying the light from my bedside lamp is disturbing him. You and Jake must be kindred spirits.
