Motherhood in January

by Jessie K on January 12, 2014

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERALast night, Katie and I went to a friend’s party from 7 to 10 p.m. chatting, eating, cuddling and nursing (in an upstairs bedroom). I wore my most glamorous flannel shirt and alpine sweater. Jake stayed home with June, which did not go over well with June. It was the first indication of sibling jealousy I’ve seen.

January is a great month to be a new mom — it’s too cold/dreary to do anything but it’s also kind of terrible because you end up hibernating more than you’d like to. It felt good to get out and see friends for a few hours.

Such a perfect pair! What’s embroidered beneath her toes?

I can just feel the softness of those little infant feet.

I love baby feet. I used to hold my babies in front of me and just rub their feet with my hand. For some reason it was very comforting and relaxing for me and hopefully for them as well. Love your pictures.
